Subject: Zara Recommendation
Sorry I couldn’t be there I heard about the meeting. I am
aware of the suggestion you are deciding whether or not to update our systems.
After seeing the consultant’s presentation, I think it would be in best
interest for the company to upgrade to windows as they suggested.
Being able to have our employees trained in Windows would
give them an advantage needed for the new retail systems. By having Windows, we
will be able to do business online which is where most of our customer’s seem
to want to do business. We need to be able to adapt and satisfy the needs of
our customer’s satisfaction. Almost every company that has a retail store, has
an online ordering system. With that being said switching from DOS to Windows
would cost us approximately 3,064,600 euros that would be a 5 year. We would be
able to benefit by the new system which will be an advantage to our company.
As of now our employees have to manually count the inventory
to decide if new shipment needs to be ordered. Having this new system, we would
be able to do this automatically, so that will reduce the time wasted and maybe
even human error.
This would be a great suggestion to change. I really think
our customer’s would continue to shop at Zara’s and we would have repeat
customers. We must make these changes soon, since we are at loss of customers
and of sales.
